Wedding at Cal Reiet, Mallorca .
The couple
Lena & Fabian.
Lena and Fabian got married on Saturday, 13 September 2025, at Cal Reiet near Santanyí in Mallorca, and I was their DJ. A ceremony in the garden, dinner at the long table by the pool, a party under string lights.
On Sunday it carried on by the same pool, with a pool party. I was behind the decks for that too.

People were already dancing during dinner, to ‘Unwritten’ and ‘Sarà perché ti amo’ as Afro House. Lena and Fabian wanted it properly clubby, so after dinner it stayed club.

At midnight, the party moved indoors. After a short break for the move, everyone came into the shala, the venue’s big yoga room, in bathrobes, and it got clubbier again. Then I played ‘Ein Teil’ by Cro, remixed. Their in-joke.
Danced before the dessert.

Sunday, 14 September
Back by the pool.
The day after the wedding there was a pool party, by the same pool. I played from midday: lots of Afro House, plus Rin, Cro and Aya Nakamura. ‘Ein Teil’ came back once more.

The place
Cal Reiet means ‘little king’ in Mallorquí. The manor house from 1881 sits on the edge of Santanyí in the south-east of the island, a five-minute walk from the village. Around it are 6,000 square metres of gardens. The rest of the time it is a retreat with yoga and plant-based food, officially called Cal Reiet Holistic Retreat.
The spaces
Ceremonies are in the garden, dinner at long tables by the 20-metre pool. If it rains, 60 guests fit in the winter garden and up to 120 in the big shala. The venue takes no more than 120 guests.
Staying overnight
15 rooms, ten in the main house and five in the casitas in front, for up to 37 guests. For weddings you book the house for at least three nights. That leaves time for a day after, like Lena and Fabian’s pool party.
DJing at Cal Reiet
Music outside ends at midnight, then the party moves to the shala. The floor is covered in black for it. The venue doesn’t provide sound, lighting or musicians. I bring sound and lighting through a partner on the island. How I think about wedding music

How late can you party at Cal Reiet?
Music outside ends at midnight. After that, the party carries on indoors in the shala, the big yoga room. The exact time is in your contract with the venue.
How many guests does Cal Reiet take?
Up to 120 guests for the celebration. Up to 37 can stay overnight, in 15 rooms.
Does Cal Reiet cater the wedding?
The in-house kitchen is plant-based, and for weddings there is meat and fish too. Dinner on the wedding day comes from an external caterer.
Does Cal Reiet provide a DJ or sound?
No. Sound and lighting come through a partner of mine on the island, and I check with the venue beforehand what is already there.
What does a DJ for a wedding in Mallorca cost?
